The song reached #1 on various online charts after its release.[citation needed] Its first #1 on network television was on KBS's Music Bank, where it won over Kara's "Lupin" and 2AM's "Jalmothaesseo" (I Did Wrong).[5] Moreover, "Run Devil Run" was ranked #1 at South Korean GaON Music Chart for two weeks.
Starting from March 11, 2010, photos of the members were released online showcasing a dark concept, so called Black SoShi.[8]

Music Video
A teaser video was released on March 16, 2010.[3] The music video for "Run Devil Run" was released on March 18, and the group is expected to perform first on KBS's Music Bank.[2] They also released a story version on March 31, 2010.[10]
The video continues the story of "Oh!" in which they meet their malevolent and darker selves in "Oh!"'s end. Then the Oh! video rewinds to the part in which Sooyoung accidentally mishandles a football helmet causing it to spill a cup of milk which causes the computer to crash and to invent the "Black SoShi", the malevolent version of themselves, to emerge from a parallel universe. After they emerged, they began messing and disarranging the group's things. Back to the present, the girls meet their other selves. The video ends when Yuri unplugs the computer causing the Black SoShi to be confined once more in their own universe. Then they fix and clean up the mess the Black SoShi left, suddenly, one of the members taps the computer monitor lightly and accidentally opens the portal of the parallel universe again causing the door to be opened for a possible return of the Black SoShi.
